Dr. Kritz is board-certified in family medicine. Following his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, he received his medical training at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara, in Mexico, and at Rush Medical College, in Chicago. He completed his internship and residency at UC Irvine Medical Center. Dr. Kritz also speaks medical Spanish.
Family physician David Kritz, M.D., believes it is never too late to start taking better care of one's health. But he knows change may be difficult at first. That's why he partners with his patients in order to help them follow healthier lifestyles. In addition to managing chronic conditions, such as hypertension, diabetes and cholesterol, Dr. Kritz provides treatment to help patients lose weight and stop smoking.
"Weight loss and smoking cessation are challenging, but they have such an impact on the patient's overall health," Dr. Kritz says. "I take a lot of time to listen to my patients, hear their stories, and then find the best way to approach their problems."
